Before teaching at Mass Art, I taught art to children of all ages, primarily in community art settings. My teaching and my art have always been intertwined. My clay relief paintings have been exhibited at Chase Gallery (Newbury St., Boston), Field Gallery (Martha’s Vineyard), Del Bello Gallery (Toronto), and Russell Gallery (Westport, MA), Lincoln Gallery at Beaver Country Day School, and at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. I was awarded the Elizabeth Yeomans Prize from the Westport Art Group.
I participate in the annual South Coast Artists Open Studios by opening my studio in Westport, Mass for the weekend event, and have an annual sale in December in Somerville, MA. My work is represented in private collections in the United States and Canada.

For twenty-six years I taught as Associate Professor of Art Education at Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Currently I am an adjunct professor at Mass Art teaching a course called “Drawing for the First Time” through Continuing Education. I majored in painting at Boston University and later received a Master of Art Education from Antioch University.
